Wyndham is growing at a rapid rate, Greenfield sites are being transformed into large scale residential estates to keep up with the growing demand of housing and housing affordability in Melbourne. Werribee West is now being developed with residential estates such as King's Leigh, Alwood, and Redlands now over 80% sold.
Over 10,000 homes will be established in Harpley, Riverwalk, and Alfred Road Precinct's over next decade with 20,000 residents expected to move into the area.
Here's a breakdown of new plans, infrastructure and facilities that will be established in the near future within close proximity to the Westleigh Gardens Estate:
Urban Design Framework:
A 'Urban Design Framework' has been made by the Planisphere on behalf of the Wyndham City Council to improve and enhance key areas of Wyndham for current and future generations. Images below show recommendations made by Planisphere to improve and enhance Geelong Road, Werribee. The Plans recommend the duplication of Geelong Road, retaining current Eucalyptus Trees, enhancing and introducing vegetation to the area and improving community safety such as adding pedestrian crossings and widening footpaths.
